About our brand

The name Martu Waru means people (‘Martu’) and fire (‘waru’). Fire is an important part of the culture of the Martu people as it is a means of cleansing their country and making it ‘healthy’.

The painting in out branding is by Kumpaya Girgirba, Manyjilyjarra woman. She presented her painting to use to use in this context with her permission and consent.

Our Partnership with Buildcraft WA

Martu Waru is 52% owned and operated by the Martu Indigenous people. We have partnered with Buildcraft WA to deliver building and construction services across Western Australia.

Buildcraft WA owns 48% of Martu Waru and works closely with the Martu people to deliver meaningful, impactful projects.
Committed to understanding and respecting Country, we engage in meaningful conversations (yarns) to listen and deliver what the Martu people need, working together to create our shared dreams.
